Carbon Zero
Hawaii Forest Farms realizes that contemporary production of consumer products at a scale for many to enjoy the benefits of, especially for a unique product such as mamaki that grows only in Hawaii, involves downstream impacts in the form of carbon emissions to the atmosphere due mostly to transport of materials and finished products to markets and consumers. Our partners are selected with their carbon declarations and practices in mind, and Hawaii Forest Farms, while surely a ‘carbon positive’ business entity due to the fixation of carbon on our 30 acres of forest, will continue to find ways to limit the release of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, as well as engage in various local and global communities to reverse the increase of carbon dioxide in Earth’s atmosphere by any means possible.
